I didn’t wake up one morning and decide to throw everything away and completely change my lifestyle. My journey into clean living started slowly — with questions, struggles, and a deep desire to understand what I was putting in and around my body.
For years, I trusted the products sitting on store shelves. If it smelled good, looked pretty, and said the right things on the label, I assumed it was safe. I never thought twice about the ingredients in my shampoo, my skincare, my cleaning products, or even the things I used daily in my home.
Then life started opening my eyes.
After facing health struggles and infertility, I started searching for answers. I wanted to know why. I wanted to understand my body better. I started reading ingredient labels, researching what those long words meant, and realizing how many things we use every day contain ingredients our bodies don’t necessarily need.
At first, it was overwhelming.
There were so many opinions, so many “rules,” and so much pressure to do everything perfectly. But I quickly learned something important — clean living isn’t about fear or perfection. It’s about awareness. It’s about making better choices little by little.
I started swapping things out one product at a time. My soaps. My hair products. My cleaners. The things touching my skin and filling my home.
And somewhere along the way, it became more than just removing things — it became creating.
I started learning about oils, butters, clays, herbs, and natural ingredients that have been used for generations. Ingredients that come from the earth. Ingredients with a purpose.
That passion grew into Mama & Homestead.
What started as my own personal journey turned into wanting to help others who were standing where I once stood — confused, overwhelmed, and wondering where to begin.
I don’t create products because I believe everyone has to live the exact same way. I create because I believe people deserve options. They deserve to know what they’re bringing into their homes and putting on their families.
My mission has never been about perfection. I still believe in balance, real life, and doing what works for you.
Clean living isn’t throwing away everything you own overnight.
It’s learning.
It’s growing.
It’s reconnecting with simple things.
For me, it became a way of slowing down and returning to the basics — homemade food, simple ingredients, less waste, and a home that feels intentional.
This journey changed the way I see the world, motherhood, and caring for my family.
And I’m still learning every single day.
Welcome to my little corner of the homestead — where we keep things simple, intentional, and a little closer to the way nature intended.
